Political Christmas.
Christmas season would never be complete without the stretches of Christmas parties. I just attended one epic yet simple party with my dearies.
My friend Irene and I arrived bringing loads of food and we just commuted. The hassle couldn’t get worse I tell you. Just because we love being late and we still have to take that late moment of buying our exchange gifts, we traveled by ourselves. Meaning, no transpo to get there. It’s like get early or commute. Ugh.
I was finally able to wear my top that I shared from this post. Yehey!
Irene is my all around friend and I couldn’t thank God for having such friend with me. She is awesome and like that. *obligatory swimming pool pic*
The venue is near our house and thank God because we did not get lost. I did not bring any clothes with me because I don’t want to be tempted to swim. I just don’t want to…but.
Oyes. That is me. Very wet. Somebody pushed me in the pool and I was panicking like forever since nobody got extra clothes or what. I also got Php500 as a gift from my friend Kay. I love her for that. Teehee!!
Parlor games like kiddos. Yes! That was her! That was Kat who pushed me and dragged me to hell for doing so. I could strangle her but she should thank God because I love her. I hate her tho. *kills Kat* We lost this game. It’s like, I lose every game.
I hate the guys, with all that I am for winning this annoying game. It’s so difficult. My pouting skills did not work.
Our grilled hotdogs are all fail! The marshmallows melted and got wasted but we had fun! We had this Junior Masterchef peg! It was yummy! Hotdogs are our favorite snack nowww!
My day was complete because I ate almost all of these Kiat-kiat (small oranges). I am forever a fan of fruits!
Plug time! If you happen to be a Chinese or fond of eating authentic Chinese food, it’s near impossible for you to not know Masuki or Ma Mon Luk. This is the reason for our suffering. We brought lots of siomai and siopao as food to share. They all loved it. Why? It’s a taste of the best Chinese food! Irene and her family own a branch in Binondo and it’s too awesome for we can always get a taste of their food for free.
Played water polo like there is no tomorrow. I got tired for no meaningful reason at all. It was fun losing though…for the nth time.
<3 <3 <3 That lil guy with goggles is the owner of all these photos btw. I don’t want to miss thanking him or else…yeah. Thanks Zam!
I thank Irene for having an extra shirt! Though I look like I just got out of bed, I was able to survive and get through with the wetness and no-clothes scheme that I had. We all love Trolli gummy pizza!
This is our awesome president who happens to be Mr. Political Science and a look alike of Taylor Lautner. We all call him Jacob and I couldn’t believe it when his “girlfriend“‘s name is Bella. Sucha coincidence!!!
Then we all went home happy and all with hangover due to too much fun! I would always love to have them around. No matter how diverse we are as a class, we always get that enthusiasm of bonding together! Merry Christmas dearies!!! Those who did not attend should die of jealousy now :) I’ve been very serious in my previous posts and posting about so much realizations so I think it is about time to share something more random. This would be my come-back post and it is all about the Musts in My School Bag. These are the stuffs that no matter what happens, shouldn’t be absent in my bag
I was so allured by this and I happened to stamp it in all of my classmates’ arms and made them ‘mine’. Hahaha. This is only very cheap and really handy.
My vanity kit does not contain much make-up unlike the usual vanity kit of other girls. I am not fond of using much cosmetics since I can exist without them. Yes, after going out the shower, all I apply is moisturizer then I am good to go. I just use the right type of soap and sometimes lotion so to take care of my skin. I also use sunblock from Shiseido which is not greasy or anything. These are the stuffs that I think I need for everyday though:
I have been more vain when it comes to my lips so I have more lip-related cosmetics above all else.
I also found this make up kit which contains my name. I was very excited when I saw this. It contains my screen name before. I did not buy it though since the color of the powder and gloss is not my type. It is very cheap so I changed my mind and planned on buying it one of these days though. My break is so long so when I was fixing my bag, I kind of remember my hell days before this break. My grades are good but I really need to find more effort to make them improve. So as for everybody, never settle for just good but always be the best! :) It was a rainy night and I just finished helping my friend in a video shoot for a project this end of August when my good friend Irene and I decided to chill first before going home. The streets of Dapitan in UST are filled with people always. People of all sorts from students to vendors and of course, beggars. It’s very usual for one to be tapped on the shoulder by a street child and beg for coins or left-overs from the food that one is holding. One time, while Irene is feeding me with her daily dose of stories, one kid came up to us and of course begged for some coins. We ignored him and Irene continued chatting but this kid would not stop. He was making hand gestures that we cannot understand and it caught our attention. “Kung di niyo po ako bibigyan, like niyo na lang po page ko sa Facebook.” (If you will not give me any, just like my Facebook page.) He said to us. We were puzzled and I glanced at him from head to toe. “Aba may Facebook page ka pa! Alam mo, hindi ka mukhang pulubi! Mas mukha pa nga kong pulubi sayo eh! San ka ba galing? Nasaan mga magulang mo?” (And you even have a Facebook page! You know, you do not look like a beggar! I even look like one compared to you.) I asked him out of curiosity. “Kung magiging madumi ako, hindi ako lalapitan ng mga tao o lalayuan nila ako. Hindi ako makakahingi. Kailangang presentable lagi.” (If I would be dirty, no one would approach me or people might run away from me. I wouldn’t be able to beg. I should always be presentable.) His answer started to wonder me a lot and the conversation with this kid lasted the whole night long. I even forgot that I should be going home by that time or I will miss the train.
I was impressed with this kid’s story that we ended up giving him all our coins. Something that might help him for that night’s begging that he got. He is so much blessed with people who sees his perseverance and depiction of real essence of simple living and being happy. Like his page here and his jokes compilation here and add him here. Another interesting person that caught my attention is this leaf musician. I do not know how to call him but he resembles the great Filipino Artist who popularized playing music on a leaf, Levi Celerio. He was able to entertain us with his good music and high energy. he was old but his presence feels young. He played modern music and shout “yeah!” always which is funny and alluring. He did not beg for money to us which is unusual because I thought that he did such in exchange for alms. I saw him before on the other side of our school two years ago and glad to see him again.
I was amazed with these types of people who not only ask for simple contributions from us but gives us something in return which is inspiration and hope. We disregard these people since we just see them everyday or that they are none of our concern but they just manifest the need for our help and attention. If we just give them ample focus, sooner or later, no body in the streets have to do such just to live by for the day. They are the unsung heroes of our time. I saw this and I laughed. But something tells me that not only girls have this BFF (bestfriends forever) sort of thing. Mara, whom I consider as my bestfriend way back in highschool, and I had this girly and shallow stuff before. We bought a “bestfriend” shirt and slippers (and yes, even wore it on the same day) and bracelets and rings. Yes it’s very childish yet it’s something we are just fond of doing. I just found it cute to see this two guys have matching Spongebob-Patrick bags (these creatures are bestfriends) and walk around our school like we-do-not-care-we-just-have-these-bags-and-like-that. I do not find it gay actually. Love Language test which was something that we took in our guidance session. I found out that I value quality time the most. This test says that there are 5 types of language of love:
I think just by mere looking at the categories, you can easily classify yourself without taking the test. This does not only refer to your lovers but also to you family or friends. By this, you can best know how to express how you love and value the person more and I think it’s always better to give love without always expecting something in return. Love unconditionally. Today is obviously a holiday and it gave a whole day free time to do the necessary. In the first place, I do not know why I am in this place but whatever that may be, it is my first time to spend the longest hours in a coffee shop. I’m fond of Figaro since their salads, meals and sandwiches are all made out of awesomeness and delightful taste! Yay for Grilled Chicken and I drank hot Cappucino since I have colds and cough. Begone!
I will greatly support Ligo na U, Lapit na me, as an official entry for this year’sCinemalaya. It is a movie rendition of the book of Eros Atalia who is a professor in Faculty of Arts and Letters of UST. I am somehow puzzled with how they chose the actors. Intoy, the male lead is described as the not-so-good-looking student in their campus and Jenny as the most beautiful girl. Anyway, I am very much looking forward to the showing this July. This will be a good birthday treat for me! PS. I am also looking forward to have Sir Eros as my professor! *all fingers crossed* I know very much that I lost and did not attain the student council position but it wouldn’t stop me from serving in my own will. Here is the board committee of the PRO, Ace Quebal who is from our party. Sadly we are not complete but I am looking very much in working with them. I am really after to having the next school year because our section was not shuffled and I will be with the same awesome people minus those who shifted. Sad. :(
Anyway, to those of you who watched the movie A Crazy Little Thing Called Love (First Love) the girls wear the same uniform with us minus the name tag. [evidence] |
