The League.
Been starting my internship ever since the holy week ended. The people in League of Cities of the Philippines are so cool that I don’t have to worry with anything including my work. My boss has been in and out which made me idle at times. Speaking of, he is just our neighbor. Quite a small world really.
The office environment for me is new. I have to be in a fully air-conditioned room everyday and being a sick girl that I am, I got sick on my second day. I am with my classmates Aileen and Joseph so I am very comfortable since I got instant companions. I am the most idle between the two. Haha.
It has been a challenge for me since I have to wake up in the morning and I am not at all a morning person. So far, I am enjoying and not worrying about anything in my internship program. Fun has been everywhere and I wish to end it with more lessons and achievements! :) LGMH.
Every morning when I wake up, the first thing that I do is to check my phones if someone greeted me good morning. It’s one good routine that I do to know if someone remembers me in the morning. It makes me smile and after that, I go down to get a bite to eat. Chloe, our Chihuaha and only dog that can enter our home greets me with wagging tail and her floor rolls. I would play with her and jump with her for a while then proceed to the kitchen. It’s either I see some meal prepared already in the table or none at all. Just this morning, I realized how special I am in the eyes of my father. I always see him treat me specially though, but his words today melted my heart. Dada: “Kakain ka na?” (Are you going to eat already?) I just nodded. Dada: “Natataranta kasi ako pag nakikita na kita, na di ako mapakali pag alam kong wala ka pang pagkain.” (I always panic when I see you. It’s get uneasy when I know you have nothing to eat yet.) I always see him drop everything or stop whatever he is doing when I ask for some favor to him or when he sees me in the morning. I am really gifted to have such kind father and who is not expressive with words to show he loves us but shows us otherwise. His Love Give Me Hope. Happy Valentine’s day Post. Ja-NEW-uary
First month of the year. Fresh start. New beginning and the end is still far. It’s very fast though that January has ended in a blink of an eye and here we are again at the month of hearts. Phew. I cannot keep up! Here’s some of my tidbits of my January. Just a little of something. :)
(1) I said something about my room re-designing. I had all the new stuff to put on my room but since I am the queen of laxity, it did not happen. My mom tolerated my desire for animal prints again and gave me some new boxes so have somewhere I can put my school readings on.
This where I also place my bags and I can see that it is not enough. We plan to buy more but the problem now is that my room will get more crowded. How to? How to? (2) My favorite past time is to visit my favorite place in the world! Thrift shops! Again, I am pleased to present my self as a solid advocate of ukay-ukay since it where you get all the best in the world! I got two new sheers and 2 new animal prints! Satisfaction much I tell you. But now, I prevent myself from going there since I really want to save! The agony. :( I got some new accessories too!
A tragic thing happened too. My favorite everyday eye shadow palette broke. :( I wish I could still spot something as of good quality as this in Max Factor stores or somewhere else. :(
My new stress reliever…nail arts! Again, animal print! Hee! ;)
Eww! My ugly toes! Please look at the nail color instead. :p (3) Ginno and I is having our 18th monthsary this first day of February. Some days before, we had a fight and he gave me this cute cellphone charm still from Korea. He knows I love everything Korean.
He told me that he’s been hoarding a lot of goodies so that he will not run out of peace offerings to give me if ever we will have fights again. I do not know if that is a good thing since we are talking about fights here. Haha. It was sweet and when he said sorry, I just said…Yup! It’s okay. We get better and better in dealing with fights and it’s something that keeps us going. I love you Pupi! ;) (4) Before we also ended the month, we attended the Neocentennial Celebration of our university…University of Sto. Tomas! We missed the fireworks and being a sucker for fireworks, you will not be able to imagine the sadness that I felt that time. They said that it was the most wonderful pyromusical display that UST ever had. :( Anyway, I had a great time with Ginno. I always will. :) So much for now. I hope the next month would be much better and it is the Month of Hearts! Let’s see what happens. Remember that make every month, every day as Valentine’s day. All you have to do is share love like there’s no tomorrow. Love like Jesus! :D Kung HEY FUN Choi.
I thought this trip would not push through but hey, what’s visiting China Town on the day of Chinese New Year itself? :) Been so excited to feel the Chinese New Year in Binondo. We are not Chinese (only a little in my mother’s side) but we just want to experience the spirit of festive celebration.
It was my first time to ride the LRT with my family. I was with my parents and two sibs. We parked our car somewhere and just commuted for the fear of having difficulty of bringing a ride. The fun started right here. :)
We visited Binondo church. My mom prayed for a while but I was busy sight-seeing and taking random pictures. :) We were supposed to attend mass here last Sunday but failed since my mom had an emergency.
There were gay street dancers everywhere and they did not fail to welcome everyone with loud thuds of drums and cute fire dances.
Kiong Hee Huat Tsai is the new Kung Het Fat Choi! :)
That’s my Dada and sis eating sugar cane. ;)) There are so hungry that they just have to munch on anything.
New lovaaa! <3 Tummy is so big I’m gonna die!
We ate authentic Chinese food though I am not in my good appetite since just this week we ate at Shangrila the same set of food. :| Happy tummy still!
Something to take home! Right after, we went to Divisoria and did a lot of shopping! So excited to share with you my adventure! I got lots and lots and lots of animal prints again! Well, my day was a wrap! I had fun and my excitement was satisfied! The crowd was also tolerable. It is far from what I expected and the weather was not that hot. Everything was perfect indeed! I wish everyone specially my Chinese friends and whoever a bountiful and lucky year of the Water Dragon! :) We party for
Saturdays are always made fun with your friends! I was not supposed to go but then I do not regret the choice of coming instead. It was supposed to be a plain and simple get-together but as what they always say, expect the unexpected. :)
We went bar hopping and our first stop is Papus! Ate and drank a little but being a weak drinker that I am, I felt dizzy and turned red already during the first stop. I am super proud to have these people. I could say that we are THAT strong as a group since we have been friends since we were little girls. The are my village friends! :) The next stop was in Drews! All are just around Katipunan. This was the idea of Abby who we consider as the strongest when it comes to drinking. Haha. Drank some again and played like kids. Our favorite game was “Whatta!” and “Sh*t, Sh*t!” :) This time, the new game never failed to get some people a little tipsy. 1,2,3! :D
I now proudly present to you the couple that everyone should envy. :) John and Nuelvi. I was there when I saw them going through the hardest time in their relationship and I saw them grow and mature as a couple. we are all so proud of these two. When you mention them it’s not far to also think of marriage. Sweetness!
and for our last stop, Intersection! We plan to go to five places but everything ends here. Drunk people taking care of drunker people. Haha. The place was so cold, I got chills!
Here’s the star of the night, Jajeng with her very caring boyfriend Ace! Yiheeee!
This night was quite an adventure for us! What happened in Katipunan, well, we may not know if it will really stay there. Kidding. Hahaha. It was fun being with these people and I swear I won’t miss the part two of this! I love everyone! :D We all love the camera effects! The difference between a good day and a bad day is your attitude. A sign a saw in Papus and is worth remembering! :) Political Christmas.
Christmas season would never be complete without the stretches of Christmas parties. I just attended one epic yet simple party with my dearies.
My friend Irene and I arrived bringing loads of food and we just commuted. The hassle couldn’t get worse I tell you. Just because we love being late and we still have to take that late moment of buying our exchange gifts, we traveled by ourselves. Meaning, no transpo to get there. It’s like get early or commute. Ugh.
I was finally able to wear my top that I shared from this post. Yehey!
Irene is my all around friend and I couldn’t thank God for having such friend with me. She is awesome and like that. *obligatory swimming pool pic*
The venue is near our house and thank God because we did not get lost. I did not bring any clothes with me because I don’t want to be tempted to swim. I just don’t want to…but.
Oyes. That is me. Very wet. Somebody pushed me in the pool and I was panicking like forever since nobody got extra clothes or what. I also got Php500 as a gift from my friend Kay. I love her for that. Teehee!!
Parlor games like kiddos. Yes! That was her! That was Kat who pushed me and dragged me to hell for doing so. I could strangle her but she should thank God because I love her. I hate her tho. *kills Kat* We lost this game. It’s like, I lose every game.
I hate the guys, with all that I am for winning this annoying game. It’s so difficult. My pouting skills did not work.
Our grilled hotdogs are all fail! The marshmallows melted and got wasted but we had fun! We had this Junior Masterchef peg! It was yummy! Hotdogs are our favorite snack nowww!
My day was complete because I ate almost all of these Kiat-kiat (small oranges). I am forever a fan of fruits!
Plug time! If you happen to be a Chinese or fond of eating authentic Chinese food, it’s near impossible for you to not know Masuki or Ma Mon Luk. This is the reason for our suffering. We brought lots of siomai and siopao as food to share. They all loved it. Why? It’s a taste of the best Chinese food! Irene and her family own a branch in Binondo and it’s too awesome for we can always get a taste of their food for free.
Played water polo like there is no tomorrow. I got tired for no meaningful reason at all. It was fun losing though…for the nth time.
<3 <3 <3 That lil guy with goggles is the owner of all these photos btw. I don’t want to miss thanking him or else…yeah. Thanks Zam!
I thank Irene for having an extra shirt! Though I look like I just got out of bed, I was able to survive and get through with the wetness and no-clothes scheme that I had. We all love Trolli gummy pizza!
This is our awesome president who happens to be Mr. Political Science and a look alike of Taylor Lautner. We all call him Jacob and I couldn’t believe it when his “girlfriend“‘s name is Bella. Sucha coincidence!!!
Then we all went home happy and all with hangover due to too much fun! I would always love to have them around. No matter how diverse we are as a class, we always get that enthusiasm of bonding together! Merry Christmas dearies!!! Those who did not attend should die of jealousy now :) You swoon, you sigh.
My boyfie next to my Dada I think? He is my closet sib. When you have a big brother, being a girl, you expect him to guard you against heart breakers or anything close to that but being an older sister to this brother of mine, I perform that duty instead. Yes, I am also intrigued (together with my mom…let us just say, the whole family) with his meek life. I know parts of his lovelife and jokes around with him about stuffs. He is very kind, nice and gullible at times. He deserves a girl that will make him stay as he is because he is awesome like that. :)
My classmates swoon over him but I think together with other girls, he just reserves himself to someone who is right for him and worthy to be a part of the family. :)
Hello too to our dog Chloe. Get pregnant please. I was talking in my past post about our plan of watching Showtime, a noon time show in Abs-Cbn. I was pessimistic that it would push through since I lost my phone and I have a very hard time connecting with people and we sometimes fail to fulfill our plans. (story of everyone’s life!) I arrived at my friend Kaye’s house very early with the fear that they might leave without me. We met our friends at the audience entrance and waited in line like everybody else.
We arrived ahead of our friend Rizel who happened to have a connection with the people in Showtime. We had a little trouble making the guards recognize our contact person but as soon as Rizel arrived, we we’re as good as hell and excited.
When we arrived inside the studio, I was amazed of how small it is and yet how big it looks like when on tv. They seem to use panoramic shots so as to make the shot wider and spacious. We were excited to know that we will seat at the second row and I was very much seated in the best place in the studio, near the stage and in the middle. Our spot was usually the area of the hosts and near the hurados (judges).
They were televisions that show the live telecast. I was most of the time watching there so I realized that it seems like I did not watch the show live. Hihihi. Look at the tv! They have the spot for other networks! Some media stuff they have to do.
Here are my awesome yellow friends! We have 8 slots but only 6 of us made it to the show. We were all giddy and laughing so much because of too much fun! :)
If only I have the most straight and gorgeous hair, I would take home 5 grand! Fast money eh? Hihihi! I just envied the people who took home money by just having fun and looking awesome.
The hosts looked so fab specially Ann Curtis and Vhong Navarro! During the breaks, the hosts kept entertaining the audience and my god, Vhong danced so well that he made us instant fans! Ann and Vhong (middle) were cute with all their romantic acts and all. Billy Crawford, Vice Ganda, Karylle Marquez, Kuya Kim and Teddy were fab! Jugs was absent and Teddy is of course more perfect with him.
The hurados were also great looking specially Luis Manzano. He arrived wearing shades and my, I was in awe. He looked great. Carmen Soo arrived first as she looked so very charming. Ina Reymundo was also sexy and amazing and was the topic of the hurado Luis and Vice Ganda (I voted her out, sorry). She looked so young despite the age! I envy her body that is effortlessly sexy!
All of the contestants did fair. The last was the winner and was also my personal favorite.
The show ended with a blast and the host disappeared like bubbles so we did not have the effort to chase after them anymore. We woke up very early so our tummies are all complaining. We headed to Trinoma right after the show to munch and rest. The dancing and clapping endless laughing took all our energy away!
Lourdes and Genina were my cab buddies! I happen to appreciate their company more!
We ate at Taco Bell. Genina and I ate like a man and it was Jessica’s first time to dine there so yeah, congratulations! Seemed like you enjoyed your quesadilla! :)
We chose to chill at Starbucks and waited for Kim to follow. We also strolled around some nearby stores and drooled over good finds. Lourdes and I kept on comparing the good stuffs that we saw with those in Divisoria (a place for very cheap stuffs). We vow to just go there instead of spending much in the mall.
This is what I call, stolen shot with permission. Hahaha.
We went to Kaye’s place and instead of resting, we searched for more Vhong Navarro’s dougie videos. We also found this Jhongsterz channel that store all Jhong Hilario’s stunts. Superb quality! We had this extreme hang over over our experience and planned on visiting more tv shows next time. We ended up just goofing with the webcam and eating street food. I had a very fabulous first time with these people and my, their company never gets old. They made me forget how many problems I was dealing with during that day! I love them to bits! It was always a dare for us to be complete! Hahaha. I really believe that unplanned adventures are those that usually pushes through. Well, this is just a typical bonding with my highschool friends, who I happened to post about before. Nothing much. We just talked about our evolution, like monkeys (?), through time. We happen to notice the changes brought about by college and the usual, made updates about ourselves because we miss each other like that. Pissing off each other is our favorite past time and laughing about things that we never even expect to happen is a good way to ponder on the great friendship that we had.
This here is Jessica. I greatly admire this girl because she was able to get over her greatest depression before. God knows and we all know what she went through. We saw her go over it and and we are all so proud. I am inspired by her when I was on that situation too. The situation? Secret! Bawal sabihin! Walang clue! :p I just love her. Right Spinkles? :)
The host of the bonding! Kaye! Yes, it’s not a party, like what they opposed to say. Haha. She is like a mother to us all who scolds us and with her dapat-alam-ko-yan attitude over the what-abouts in our life, she is becomes one of the most updated person when it comes to stuffs. In better term, chismosa. Haha. It was in a good way though. She gives good advice and is not afraid to hurt your feelings just to make you realize some things which she know is good for you. She is also my childhood friend and I cannot anymore imagine the plentiful things that I experienced with her. My world with her is like Worlds of Fun! Hihihihi. I know right? :p
Don’t dare miss Rizel, the most annoying creature in the world. ‘Nuff said. Haha. You will love her to bits in as much as she will annoy your every particle. Haha.
They are my stress reliever and my consistent stress givers. Haha. I still go for the bonding without drinking but just baking and movies and laughing and picture taking and bashing and just plain looovvvviiinnnggg! ;) Hello to my grown-ups! ;) Ehem! That bed would always make eight girls fit, we can test that by being complete next time! Hello Showtime! I am so excited but it is planned therefore I have low expectations of it pursuing. Hahahaha. Kidd! I love my PARE Bitches! I was so tired from school when suddenly I heard noises from the inside of our house. I came in and a familiar face but a view that I was not able to see for years came up to me and said, “Hi! Kain ka na!” (Hi, eat already!) There was a big smile on that man’s face and I joked and replied…”Bakit kayo ngayon nagpunta? May paper akong gagawin!” (Why did you visit today, I have a paper to do!) But the truth is, I did not expect any ambush celebration like that. It was mu uncle that was imprisoned for about 8 years that was present there. Everyone was festive and I think he deserves such. It was a wrong accusation against him that led him to suffer from something that we all know and of course even God know that he did not do. The case was murder. It was an old case but since there are people from the neighborhood of my uncle that got a grudge over him and envies his family that they did such to him. My lawyer aunt failed to win his case in court but I know she did her best to defend him. Nevertheless, he was humble that he just accepted his fate. I knew him well since his children, my little cousins, are close to us. They love visiting our home and having get-togethers and so on. When I was still little, I would sleep beside my cousins and how envious I am because my uncle tells them stories just to fall asleep. He would tell stories of bulldozers, machines, cars to my boy cousin and hug my girl cousin as well. I knew that he wouldn’t do such things and my mother died to defend him just because she cannot stand seeing her youngest brother suffer. My mother would always cry to us and tell us that he is not that kind of person and I believe her. When I was in first year college when we had an immersion in our Sociology class in Bilibid prison, I got high hopes that I might see my uncle in there. I did not think of it that much but I tried to search the place. I had my interaction partner and still, no sign of him. During our talk, I happened to tell the story of my uncle and he asked for his last name. I gave it and he surprisingly tried to point someone from behind. I glanced at that person and I saw him looking at me. It was my uncle. My tears fell automatically and I hugged him. All of my batchmates saw me and I did not mind. He said he’s been staring at me since the moment I came in the area. My teacher talked to me and gave me the chance to spend the entire day with him. I just cannot help but feel elated the entire day. I am not ashamed to tell the world of my uncle’s story because I believe in the goodness of his heart and that karma is just around to corner. God will give those people responsible for this their due someday.
We spent this Sunday with my cousins and grandmother. We strolled and ate a lot in Centris Walk. I was happy looking over my cousins and sister like as if I was their mother. They rode the Walk on Water thing and they all look cute.
I still believe in the hopes of our country but it gave me an extra challenge due to what happened to our family. I am in a course that studies politics and soon, I will become a lawyer. This experience would really give me more motivation to do great on my chosen profession because i know how hard it is to be a victim of failed justice system. It was plain and simple Sunday but probably, to mark, the start of having our normal life with our uncle back. I thank God for giving me a good life with a good family. I know why God gave us that challenge and it is for us to know how strong we are as one family. I will always see this day as a special family day. Always and always. And yes, people started noticing that we look alike now. But all I can say is you really are my soul sister. Thank you for being consistently there for me. You never get tired of listening and advising and seeing me for who I am despite all things. I love you to bits! Get well soon and I really hope we will be able to live again together. Ha! With that I mean, share the same condo unit. ;) Gemma Retuba, my Pangger, my ex-daughter and one of my real friends that is for keeps forever. PS. I love you and I will steal your Ray Ban while you are sleeping soundly. What an ambush “photo shoot” with lightings we have here. Instead of studying? :D 1
